WebRefugee Aid from Taunton (RAfT): Charity No:1180367. As you can imagine, the clothing donations to RAfT have increased enormously as people respond to the earthquakes that have affected Turkey and Syria. Whilst these are needed, the most urgent requirement was for funds to help locally, and RAfT responded immediately with a cash donation. WebRAFT was funded as a medical research charity in 1988 by four plastic surgeons; Roy Sanders, Brian Morgan, Douglas Harrison and Paul Smith, who were dismayed at the lack of successful wound healing treatment options available to patients who had suffered severe burns, such as those injured in oil rig or domestic fires.
